The platform allows users to connect to their usage data via their utilities provider. This allows the app to have the most up to date usage information for all utilities in one location.

Users can build a list of to-do's suggested by the app that would help users reduce or optimize their utilities condumption.

Financial projectins based on users bill information and information from other users in their area, to show potential savings.

Building managers, homebuilders, handymen, and the like are able to better plan and keep track of projects. An intutive tracking system makes projects easy to schedule and update.

Personas

It was important to know who would likely be using the management platform. I constructed surveys, conducted interviews and had small design charettes to hone in on user types, while not an exhaustive overview of users, it helped narrow in the scope of what needed to be built in order to meet the real needs of potential customers.

Whether a homeowner a business owner, contractors, etc. — platform organization differed between user types and thus needed to be clearly laid out then compared to see where efficiencies in the user experience could be gained.

Wireframes & flows

The wireframing stage began to flesh out help shape the structure of the platform on a screen by screen basis. The more salient parts of the experience were reflected based on users' thought process and desired actions.
